Commercial space exploration has been included in the government work report for two consecutive years and has been incorporated into the "aerospace" industry category. It has officially entered a new stage of high-quality development characterized by scale, industrialization and ecologicalization. In the first year of the "14th Five-Year Plan", the industry is accelerating its evolution towards higher frequency, lower costs and larger-scale deployment.

At the recently held 2026 First Shanghai Commercial Aerospace Conference and Exhibition, TSC showcased its LiM-X series of large-scale metal 3D printing equipment and overall solutions with great impact. On this stage where global industry leaders gather, the company showcased its cutting-edge technologies and innovative momentum in the field of metal additive manufacturing.

During the concurrent commercial rocket and launch service sub-forum, Liang Bin, the sales director of TSC, was invited to deliver a special speech titled "Metal Additive Manufacturing Reshapes the New Pattern of Commercial Aerospace Development", directly addressing the core pain points of commercial aerospace - "cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and quick response", and sharing TSC's profound insights into industry trends.

He pointed out that in response to the stringent requirements of spacecraft such as "extreme lightweighting, integrated complex structures, and low-cost rapid iteration", metal 3D printing is no longer merely a "substitute process", but a key means to achieve design freedom. This technology can fabricate complex structures that are difficult to process using traditional methods, such as lattice structures, thin-walled sandwich layers, and irregular curved surfaces. Through integrated forming, it reduces the number of components and assembly steps, minimizes welds, significantly improves product consistency and reliability, and shortens the development cycle.

The special presentation sparked a lively discussion and exchange among the industry experts present regarding the current problems, solutions and future prospects of component manufacturing in the commercial aerospace field.

TSC has been deeply engaged in metal 3D printing technology and has established a full-scale solution from research and trial production to mass production of medium and large-sized components. The equipment forming capacity covers up to the micron level (2000mm × 2000mm × 2700mm). Among them, models such as LiM-X650/650H, LiM-X800/800H/800H+, LiM-X1250H, LiM-X1300H, LiM-X1500H/HF, and LiM-X2000H+ are often used for the integrated forming of large aerospace components and oversized structures.

Relying on its self-developed metal 3D printing equipment, TSC has deeply participated in major national projects such as Chang'e-4, Tianwen-1, and the return capsule of the manned spacecraft, providing key metal components for over 30 types of aerospace equipment, and helping users achieve the production of core components quickly, economically, and efficiently.

Take a key component of a certain aerospace engine - the vane ring as an example. This component has a diameter of 1470mm and is of a composite impeller structure. It has a large number of thin blades, and the processing difficulty is extremely high.

TSC used the LiM-X1500HF flight printing equipment to successfully achieve the integrated forming of this large-sized and complex component. The finished product has a dense surface without defects, a connection structure without solder joints, and is uniform throughout. Moreover, it selected the GH3625 high-temperature alloy material with high temperature and high pressure resistance. While ensuring excellent mechanical properties, the manufacturing process was completed in just 240 hours, fully demonstrating TSC's high-quality and efficient production capacity for large-sized aerospace components.

As an advanced enterprise in the metal additive manufacturing industry, TSC has always resonated with China's commercial aerospace industry. From the printing of core components to the research and manufacturing of equipment, from technological innovation to industrial empowerment, with each technological achievement, we have deeply cultivated the development of the industry. In the future, we will continue to base ourselves on the high-quality development needs of the commercial aerospace industry, continuously strengthen technological innovation, create technical barriers, continuously optimize product performance, and improve the service system. With metal 3D printing technology, we will inject more power into commercial aerospace and contribute the "Xin" strength to the soaring of China's aerospace cause.
