Recently, the "Additive Manufacturing Guidelines 2026" review meeting of China Classification Society (CCS) was held in Shanghai. TSC, as an advanced enterprise in the field of metal additive manufacturing, was invited to attend the meeting. Together with over 30 experts and representatives from universities, research institutes, aerospace enterprises, shipyards, equipment manufacturers and inspection institutions across the country, they participated in the review work.

The meeting listened to the project team's report on the thematic research and main revision contents, and conducted a rigorous review of the draft of "Additive Manufacturing Guidelines 2026" and the handling of feedback opinions. The experts present unanimously believed that the project team had fully considered the application needs and technological development trends of additive manufacturing/repair technologies in the shipbuilding industry. Based on in-depth analysis and evaluation, they made scientific and reasonable revisions to the contents of additive manufacturing and additive repair in the ship and marine engineering fields, and appropriately handled the collected feedback opinions.

At the meeting site, there was continuous industry discussion. Qi Haibo, the deputy general manager of TSC Marketing, brought a significant presentation, focusing on the application of metal additive manufacturing in the ship and marine engineering fields as the core hotspot. He delivered a detailed and valuable speech, decoding the new paths of technology and industry integration. On one hand, he analyzed the technical advantages of metal additive manufacturing in solving industrial problems and promoting industrial upgrading, as well as the technological development trends in response to changes in industrial demands; on the other hand, through a series of typical cases, he shared the successful practical experience of TSC in the ship and marine engineering fields.

This invitation to participate in the review of "Additive Manufacturing Guidelines 2026" not only demonstrates TSC's cooperation's leading position in the metal additive manufacturing field in terms of its influence and responsibility in industry standard formulation, but also serves as a powerful testimony to our company's profound technical foundation. Relying on the independently developed LiM-X series SLM equipment matrix, TSC has established a full-scale solution from research and trial production to mass production of medium and large-sized components, with forming capabilities covering up to the micron level (2000mm × 2000mm × 2700mm); it has mature printing processes for various materials such as copper, titanium alloy, aluminum alloy, high-temperature alloy, mold steel, and stainless steel, and can stably form large-sized complex-structured components. With this core advantage, TSC has deeply applied a number of innovative achievements to the ship power system and key equipment for offshore engineering, providing strong support for the green and intelligent transformation of the industry.

In the future, TSC will continue to collaborate with the China Classification Society in upstream and downstream industries of the ship and offshore engineering chain for collaborative innovation, participate in and lead the construction of higher-level industry standards; at the same time, it will actively promote the widespread application of metal additive manufacturing technology to more fields. TSC is willing to use technological innovation as an engine to help the Chinese ship and offshore engineering industry climb to the high end of the global value chain, and contribute more "TSC wisdom" and "TSC strength" to building a maritime power.
